You Don’t Have To Be A Millionaire To Get These U.S. Business Visas

Instead of waiting on a lottery or hoping to find a spouse, the entrepreneur should consider these lesser-known U.S.A. immigration options.

An LLC is one of the most versatile and accessible business structures in the United States. The start-up costs are low and the process is expedient. The US makes this easy because despite a recent reputation of being tough on immigration, the U.S. is always supportive of wealth creation and business, even for people who don’t live here.

Once you do start doing business with your U.S. based LLC, doors that were closed to you as an immigrant begin to open because you become eligible for business related visas.

These business visas allow you to stay in the states for 6 months to several years, depending on your situation, and may open opportunities for long term residency visas and even citizenship.

The popular EB5 visa requires that you invest $500,000 — $1,000,000 in one the USA’s special development zones. But what if you don’t have this capital? There are two visas that can pave your way into the United States.

  • The first is the E2 visa, which allows people traveling for business purposes to be in the US for up to two years, depending on country of origin. Don’t let the 2 years discourage you, for this visa is known to be renewed indefinitely so long as there is business reason to do so.
  • The second is the B1 visa, whose duration is shorter, but is relatively simple to apply for and is available to countries for whom the E2 is not available.

In any case, the first step is to start your entrepreneurial journey with a U.S. based LLC. Or, simply convert your current business to a U.S. company, expand your market, and expand your options.
